In May the average UK bulk diesel price fell to £1.11 ppl, this is the first time that the fuel price has dropped since August 2010, however the outlook for further drops in the fuel price look unlikely as a result of political events worldwide such as in Libya, and suggested evidence that the global economy is slowing down.
The concern over fuel prices has led to one Conservative MP, Robert Halfon to urge the government to set up an enquiry as to why fuel pump prices have remained high even though there has been recent decrease in the ppl.
